Wen River is short for Wenatchee River.  This is where founder, James Fargo, grew up.   The town of Wenatchee, Washington is located at the confluence of the Wenatchee and the mighty Columbia Rivers.   The word, Wenatchee is Native American for “The Meeting of the waters.”

The meeting of the waters symbolizes the coming together of art, business, and technology to make the best in motion picture and television productions.

WEN RIVER PRODUCTIONS is currently developing several projects.  Visit the Projects List to learn more.

Founder James Fargo started in the film industry as an Assistant Director Trainee.  As a trainee he was privileged to work under such great Directors as Robert Wise (The Andromeda Strain), George Seaton (Airport), and Director / Choreographer Bob Fosse (Sweet Charity).  Mr. Fargo moved quickly up the ladder from Trainee to Second Assistant Director, to First Assistant Director.  While at Universal Studios Mr. Fargo was assigned to work on Joe Kidd, under Director John Sturges.  That was where he met Clint Eastwood.  Five films later Mr. Eastwood gave THE ENFORCER to Mr. Fargo to direct.  That was the beginning.
